Authentic and purposeful learning (Wales) PM

In this workshop, we will reflect upon what is meant by authentic, purposeful learning and how we make provision for it in our daily provision and practice.

We will consider ways in which we can:

• Provide authentic opportunities and experiences we offer are developmentally appropriate for all children
• Use our observations to ensure that what we provide for children is engaging and has a positive impact on their learning and development
• Develop a sense of belonging for all children
• Provide unhurried, extended periods of time for children’s play
• Support children to develop their attention, concentration and perseverance through play and playful learning
