NDNA invited a number of experts, economists and representatives from early years sectors to round table discussions during summer 2023 to pull together an ideal-world policy from scratch with children’s outcomes and learning at the heart.
The result was our Blueprint for Early Education and Care which we took to the Conservative and Labour party conferences in person in autumn 2023. But we have also shared it with politicians and decision-makers across the UK to help inform future policy. We launched our Blueprint at an event in London with sector representatives. We set out the challenges but also suggest solutions.
These Blueprint principles were the basis for our Manifesto for Early Education and Care for June 2024 ahead of the General Election.
