NDNA Cymru is pleased to work with the Lucy Faithfull Foundation to deliver a webinar supporting practitioners to understand harmful sexual behaviour in young children and how to respond appropriately.
Aim of the session:
To build confidence in understanding healthy developmental expected behaviours and
behaviour that is not appropriate and can cause harm or increase a child’s vulnerability.
Outcomes:
• Have an understanding what harmful sexual behaviour is (HSB)
• Recognise common factors which may contribute to HSB
• Explore developmental changes during childhood and adolescence
• Consider the scale of the problem in line with current research
• Understand issues related to young people who have displayed harmful sexual
• behaviour
• Consider the positive preventative steps that adults can take to protect children and young people around HSB.
