We will clarify the definition for Fabricated and Induced Illnesses (FII), along with Perplexing Presentations (PP) and the signs and symptoms to look for from children and their carers. As FII/PP have specific requirements regarding the involvement of parents and other professionals, we will review the role of all early years practitioners in relation to these.
