Maths, Literacy and SEND support in early years
Boost your team’s confidence and skills in maths, communication & language, and SEND provision with NDNA’s award-winning Champions programmes.
Hear from existing Maths, Communication & Language, and SEND Champions and find out how the projects benefited their settings. Each programme offers a range of support from our early years experts, training and resources. Each programme is initially for 12 months with the option to extend.
Maths Champions supports children and staff by embedding maths into play and activities.
Led by a designated Champion and Deputy Champion in your setting, its aim is to build confidence in maths among children and practitioners.

Championing SEND will help staff increase their confidence and knowledge when working with children with SEND.
When you take part in the programme, you’ll develop the knowledge, skills and confidence of your staff team, and help families access the information they need.

Communication & Language Champions
The Communication & Language Champions Programme improves literacy outcomes for children and supports practitioners in developing their own literacy skills and confidence in order to provide high quality, literacy-rich experiences for all children.
This programme is currently being updated in-line with the findings from the Maths Champions Evaluation. Please check back in the new year when we are due to launch the new updated programme.
Note: this programme is relevant for England-only settings.
