NDNATalk Scotland Live: Realising the Best Start for Scotland’s Children
During the Holyrood election campaign, the SNP pledged to expand funded childcare to younger children aged from nine months.. This represents a significant commitment that is likely to shape early learning and childcare policy throughout this parliamentary term. The Minister for Children, Young People and The Promise, Siobhian Brown, MSP, recently shared a video with the sector:
At NDNA, we put children at the heart of what we do, and we want to see them getting the best start in life through access to high-quality early learning and childcare. Members are invited to join us in Glasgow for a collaborative policy workshop, sponsored by Hope, to identify key priorities, refine our collective policy asks and explore practical solutions to the challenges and opportunities facing the sector.
The workshop will be conducted under the Chatham House Rules. To support an informed and meaningful discussion, we ask that attendees are key decision-makers within their organisation, such as owners, CEOs or managing directors.
We will provide an update on the latest developments in Scottish Government policy. Participants will then have the opportunity to help shape our future policy priorities, positioning and influencing work. Lunch is included, and networking opportunities are provided within the day.
NDNA's manifesto was developed through extensive consultation with members and sector experts, setting out an ambitious vision for securing the best start for Scotland's children. We now want to build on that work by developing the strongest possible case for the investment, clarity and policy changes needed to support high-quality, sustainable provision.
To facilitate meaningful discussion, places will be limited and allocated on a first come, first served basis.
