This Biting Policy provides early years providers with a clear and consistent approach to understanding, managing and preventing biting behaviours, whilst recognising these as a normal part of child development. It is useful for settings as it supports best practice, helps ensure consistent responses from staff and reassures families that incidents are handled in a calm and professional way.
