NDNATalk Wales Virtual: Securing the Best Start for Children in Wales
In the Senedd Elections campaign, Plaid Cymru pledged to expand the current funded childcare offer for all two-year olds to 20 hours a week for 48 weeks of the year, with a plan to extend this down to children from nine-months-old.
They have a plan for their first 100 days to address the Flying Start challenges first, before moving onto other plans. At NDNA, we put children at the heart of what we do, and we want to see them getting the best start in life through access to high quality early childhood play learning and care.
This is a policy workshop with other senior leaders from the sector. This is a crucial time for our sector as we seek to learn what has worked and what hasn’t from recent policies in Wales and beyond.
The workshop and breakout discussions will be conducted under Chatham House rules and as such we would like representatives to be key decision makers that can provide crucial insights such as owners, company CEOs or managing directors.
We will provide an update on the latest policy discussions from the new Welsh Government and then be giving you an opportunity to shape NDNA Cymru’s positioning and priorities on your behalf.
Members helped shape our Manifesto asks for the new Government and now we want to work with you on making the case for and securing the changes, clarity and investment you need.
To facilitate a meaningful discussion and for capacity on the day, places will be limited and available on a first come first served basis.
