NDNA's Working in Partnership Charter

Partnership working is crucial to the delivery of high quality, accessible childcare. We want to help childcare providers and local authorities work together. As part of this we have developed a set of principles that we are asking local authorities to sign up to.

By signing up to NDNA’s working in partnership charter, you can show the childcare sector your dedication to partnership working.

Partnership working with the PVI childcare sector is important to us because:

  • We believe the private, voluntary and independent childcare sector are vital in helping us deliver better outcomes for children and families
  • We ensure we communicate effectively and regularly with the sector and always try to invite discussion and feedback
  • We endeavour to consult on all issues that may have an impact on early year’s providers
  • With our partners, we provide support to the sector through information, workforce development, business support and funding
  • We fully appreciate the ideas and expertise the sector can bring to the plans for children and families
  • We engage the sector and will support initiatives that allow local providers to be effectively represented
  • We recognise and work in partnership with NDNA and other childcare organisations.
