Development Worker to support nurseries in Cardiff

The Cardiff County Council Childcare Strategy Unit had identified the need for business support for the county’s full day care sector. The Council needed the sector’s participation in the implementation of the Childcare Act 2006 and to help it meet the requirements of their Childcare Sufficiency Assessment which they undertook in 2008-09. The sector was under-represented at the EYDCP and other task groups and had only ever been represented in a voluntary capacity by the NDNA Cardiff Network Chair. NDNA’s solution was the appointment of a Development Worker to support all day nurseries in the county of Cardiff. To read the case study in full please click here.
