CPD UK Accreditation

NDNA is committed to continuous learning and development of its members and their staff. In respect of this the member events are now CPD UK accredited to ensure that members gain appropriate recognition for attending these knowledge enhancing sessions.

As regulations become more stringent, employers are placing more importance on CPD UK credits on an employee’s learning and development journey; particularly when training budgets are tighter, the aim is to get the best value out of whatever training is attended.

CPD UK Certification – what does it mean?

CPD UK is “the systematic maintenance, improvement and broadening of professional knowledge, understanding and skill and the development of personal qualities necessary to undertake professional and technical duties throughout the practitioner’s working life

CPD UK Certification takes into consideration any learning initiatives being undertaken by the Government, professional institutions, trade associations, individual organisations, training providers and suppliers etc and cover technical and business related subjects. It provides a process that assesses the content of the lectures, presentations and course material as conforming to universally accepted CPD UK guidelines.

Everyone continually learns in some form or another – CPD UK gives recognition to the content and form of learning of the individual

What does it mean for NDNA?

CPD UK certification means that NDNA’s events and training can now be viewed as a recognised learning and development opportunity which can be highlighted on an attendee’s training record as either a personal or professional development.

Why undertake CPD UK certified training?

There are many personal and business related reasons for doing CPD UK certified training such as:

  • The need to continuously develop our own knowledge and skills to do the job and enable us to have career progression
  • More employers are requesting that employees learn in a recognised format
  • Clients and customers are more aware of it and therefore request companies/suppliers to show compliance
  • Overall it is good for business

What does this mean for attendees?

Anyone officially attending an NDNA event or training can now update their training record accordingly which will show that they have acquired some level or aspect of knowledge necessary to function in their role.

Benefits

  • It is good practice for organisations to have a training record for employees whereby individuals can reflect on development undertaken through CPD UK accredited courses and this can be recorded.

  • Attendance at events now means that CPD UK training is structured and covers a wide range of subjects relevant to the business as well as adapted to suit different learning styles
